When Papa’s days in Paris were nearing an end circa 1928, he stored a trunk full of writings and other materials at the Hôtel Ritz. They would sit there for nearly 30 years when, on a return visit, hotel owner Charles Ritz reminded him about the trunk, and a vast treasure trove of memories and writings were brought back to him. Something he never knew to be lost, now found. Hemingway would use that rediscovered material in crafting his beautiful memoir of 1920s Paris, which we have to come to know and love as A Moveable Feast.
